We explored Costa Rica's Children's Museum, a place that represented part of childhood for many Costa Ricans and holds some mysteries and historical facts that make it incredibly interesting. One of these is its past as a penitentiary in Costa Rica.
We took a tour to relive our childhood visits, compare how the museum is today, and explore some of its eeriest sections, like the Franklin Chang and Clodomiro Picado dolls, the terrifying tree, and a helicopter used by real soldiers, which is said to be haunted. Finally, we visited the Prison Museum, located inside the Children's Museum, and shared a bit about its history and the harsh, precarious conditions of its time.
