Netra Bikram Chand, also known as Biplav, emerged as a prominent figure among former Maoist fighters in Nepal following the decade-long civil war. Unlike some of his counterparts, such as Prachanda, who transitioned to peaceful politics, Biplav and his followers persisted with violent tactics, including bombings of public spaces, instigating strikes, harassing officials, and preparing for potential civil unrest. Consequently, the government banned him, issued arrest warrants, and forced him to retreat from public view. However, following negotiations and an agreement, the government has since pardoned him. Despite this, there remains concern that he could revert to violent methods at any time. This is the conflicting life of Biplav.
