Charles A. "Chuck" Roehm (1931-1998) was involved with the Crab Orchard & Egyptian Railroad from its inception; first as an investor and later as a fireman, brakeman and conductor.
Chuck owned a printing business in Chicago during the 1970's, and during the railroad's early years he would travel the 300 miles to Marion to film it with his movie camera. Years later, he sat down with those films and a video camera and narrated his films shot between 1973 and 1979.
Our sincere thanks go out to Chuck Roehm Jr. for permission to share this video with you.
