Lemon balm and mint are great plants to grow in the garden. Both mint and lemon balm are very useful herbs but gardeners do need to be careful on how they plant these two plants in the garden.
Propagation of these two herbs is also very simple. They can be propagated through cuttings or division. Cuttings will root well in water or in a rooting medium/potting soil.
The most important thing to keep in mind when growing lemon balm or mint is that they can spread. You can control their spread by planting in pots and dead heading before seed formation.
In this video I mention how to care for the plants, how to be careful with their spreading nature, and how they can be propagated. The mint used in this video is Chocolate mint which is a delicious mint to add to sweet tea in the summer!
