The most popular format in Magic is Commander, a format that’s quite a bit different from most other formats. The format has a multiplayer focus, a higher starting life total, and the titular commander that completely changes the way the format feels to play. This means that there are some cards that are staples in the format, that are actually fairly weak in every other format. So today, we’re going over the cards that change the most between commander and every other format. One thing before we start, cards that specifically refer to things like controlling your Commander or having multiple opponents will be excluded, in order to make the list more interesting.
