In his homily at Sunday Mass in Saint Michael Kalibo, +Bp. Romie-Jun Peñalosa encouraged us to place our trust in God, regardless of the challenges we face. He reminded us that God's favor rests upon each of us. The Gospel speaks of blessedness, where a truly blessed person becomes a blessing to the Lord. Even amidst suffering, we are called to find joy in God’s presence.
Oftentimes, we may face opposition or be misunderstood by others, but Bp. Romie emphasized the importance of not allowing the opinions of others to define us. Instead, we should listen to God's voice, so we can embrace the blessings He has in store for us. Trust in Him fully and allow Him to be the center of our hearts, finding hope in all circumstances.
