Turning a Coin Box

The coin box is a unique project for woodturners. It's a box with a pressure-fit lid that funnels your change into a central hole to easily store your spare change. The inside of the lid is also funneled for quick retrieval of the coins.
This project will teach you the fundamentals of box making as well as getting the perfect fit for your lid. Mike Nish explains each step in the turning process, including dyeing the wood and his finishing process.
