A walk through how to make an “Un”Stuffed Pepper Casserole in the Ninja Foodi. This is the same recipe as traditional Stuffed Peppers but without “Stuffing” them. It’s a much faster & easier way to prepare without sacrificing taste...with the convenience of everything in one pot! - 2 lbs ground beef (*add sweet Italian sausage for more flavor)
- 1 and a half cup cooked white rice
- 3 bell peppers (cut into good sized chunks)
- One 24 oz jar pasta sauce
- 1-2 cups shredded mozzerella cheese (or cheese mixture of your choice)
- 1 can diced tomatoes *drained* (optional)
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1 tsp garlic powder (or 1-2 fresh garlic clove, minced)
- salt & pepper to taste
Set foodi to Sear/Saute' (HI) and brown ground beef. Drain. Next add in your peppers & onions and saute' until desired tenderness, Add garlic, salt, pepper, diced tomatoes, & pasta sauce and stir well. Add your cooked rice and continue to stir. Once peppers are cooked to your liking, turn off heat. Level out and sprinkle on shredded cheese(s) and Air Crisp on 400° for 4-6 minutes or until cheese is melted/crisped.
