Kobe City Philharmonic Chorus

Kobe City Philharmonic Chorus

Established by Kobe City in 1989, the choir is rare as a professional choir in Japan.
It has rich repertoires and the clear and beautiful harmony is highly regarded. In 2010, a sister choir agreement was signed with the Latvian chamber choir "Ave Sol". KCPC is the resident choir of Kobe Bunka Hall. KCPC holds regular concerts twice a year, and joint concerts with its sister group, the Kobe City Chamber Orchestra. In Kobe city, KCPC carries out in-reach and outreach activities for elementary schools, and focus on activities in the local community such as cultural centers and hospitals. KCPC promotes "Kobe, the city of music" as a big role.
Masahiro Sato became a music director from April 2021. While striving to make a leap forward as a professional chorus, he is also focusing on cultural promotion and social and public interest activities, such as making efforts to improve music culture through chorus.
