Sailing Haldis
This channel documents my journey from sailing on Pelican lake near Fargo ND, advancing to Lake Superior, and then embarking on longer ocean passages. You'll find videos showcasing my remarkable adventures with John Kretchmer, Nathan and Vivian Zahrt, as well as my ASA courses with the Maryland School of Sailing.
In a new series, Sailing Breezy, my wife Nicole and I take ownership of a Hallberg Rassy 44 in Ellös, Sweden. I sail her to Mallorca Spain in the summer of 2024 and then the French Riviera. We will leave France in July of 2025 to explore Sardinia and Sicily in Italy and then sail to the Adriatic Sea where we will winter in Montenegro. I anticipate crossing the Atlantic to the Caribbean Sea but this is likely a few years off.
