UK cult legends ELECTRIC WIZARD formed in Dorset, England in 1993 and have since been dubbed “the heaviest band in the world”. Rising above convention and genre, the band have constructed their own diabolic vision of classic Heavy Rock from crushing doom laden blues through savage Detroit sleaze, paranoiac passages of droning drug rock and creepy funereal proto-metal/acidrock. …a sound harking back to the dreaded days when ‘heavy’ meant Grand Funk and Black Sabbath and ‘rock’ meant drugs, groupies, and mountains of amplification. Loved and loathed for their neanderthal take on rock music which is, for some, a relentless aural brain rape and, like the band's beloved vintage horror/exploitation movies, definitely not for those of a nervous disposition.
