Using Scrollsaw Patterns for V-Carving in Cut2D, VCarve, and Aspire

This video is an answer to several questions on where I get designs for use in Vectric Cut2D Desktop, Cut2D Pro, VCarve Desktop, VCarve Pro, and Aspire.
I draw my own, and I purchase designs and models from artists who specialize in CNC design work. I also draw on the talents of artists who specialize in other forms of art – like Scrollsaw Patterns. In this video, I’ll demonstrate using the Bitmap Trace function in Vectric Aspire to take a piece of artwork that was meant to be cut on a scrollsaw, then adapt it for use with a V-Carve Toolpath. Along the way, I’ll also demonstrate modifying the pattern by replacing some of the vectors with text, distorting that text, fitting curves to the vectors, then calculating and previewing a V-Carve toolpath.
As usual, if you have any comments or questions about anything I covered in this video, please join me for the Live Q&A, or put ‘em in the comment section below.
On Sunday, July 25th, I’ll be hosting a LIVE Q&A session, where you can ask your questions pertaining to anything I covered in this video. That Q&A starts at 3 pm Eastern time, Noon Pacific time. Hope to see you there!
