ವಿಮಲಮ್ಮನವರ ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವೆ ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಮೆಚ್ಚುವಂಥದ್ದು, ವಿಪರ್ಯಾಸವೇ ಏನೆಂದರೆ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳು ಸಿಗದೇ ಇರುವುದು. 75 ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ನೀರು,ಸೂರು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಬದುಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ದಿವಸ 30 ಕಿಲೋಮೀಟರ್ ನಡಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವನ ಸವಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಯಾವ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ,ನೊಂದ ಮನಸ್ಸುಗಳ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಲೆದಾಡಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ವಿಮಲಮ್ಮನವರಿಗೆ ದೇವರು ಆಯುರಾರೋಗ್ಯ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಕಾಪಾಡಲೆಂದು ಹಾರೈಸೋಣ ಅಲ್ಲವೇ?...
Vimalamma's social service is truly admirable, the irony is that she does not get government facilities. She has been living without water and roof for 75 years.
