Re the coffee filters. The white Melitta filters do not contain plastic but MANY white filters on the market (from other brands) do. A lot of them also have plastics in the glue they use to bind the filter. I reached out to Melitta and this is what they said about all of their filter products: Thank you for choosing Melitta USA, Inc.
