colors used:
my Green mix ( indigo, prylene green, sap green, cadm yellow light, cad yellow medium), Quin burnt orange or burnt sienna, burnt umber, sepia, payne's gray, lamb black, i may have used some quin gold on the aspen leaves, if yu don't have it just use some medium yellow or light yellow. Also you can use micron black or sepia for the eyes area, details in the video. Some white acrylic for the highlight of the eyes.
Fall is upon us and this saw whet owl is painted with fall colors. In this painting I also talked a little about using creativity to change up an image that you find. A close up practice of painting animal’s eyes, using subdued color to push pack areas. I think you will have fun and I will show you step by step.
