Nui wanted to see deer at Mt. Wakakusa, and Dad wanted to walk around the primeval forest course.

The following is an excerpt from the Nara City website

Mount Kasuga, on the east side of Kasuga Taisha Shrine, has been protected as the sanctuary of the shrine since hunting and logging were banned in 841. The fact that it has been protected in close association with the Japanese people's traditional view of nature is indicative of the relationship between people and the forest. It is a large scale forest of a Shinto shrine. For this reason, it is included in the cultural heritage list as an integral part of Kasuga Taisha Shrine.
