Following the massive success of Terminator 2 in 1991, it was clear a sequel was inevitable. As Matthew Lillard’s Stu from Scream would say, “let’s face it, baby….these days….YOU GOTTA HAVE A SEQUEL!” But, before anything could happen, a tricky rights situation needed sorting out. The Terminator film rights were split 50-50 between Carolco Pictures and James Cameron’s ex-wife Gale Anne Hurd. Hurd gained her share when Cameron sold her his half of the Terminator estate for a dollar before the first film was made. And that's the crazy story behind Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.

SERIES SYNOPSIS: Hollywood has had its fair share of historically troubled productions. Whether it was casting changes, actor deaths, fired directors, in-production rewrites, constant delays, budget cuts or studio edits, these films had every intention to be a blockbuster but were beset with unforeseen disasters.
