Believe it or not, during the Pernambucan revolt of 1817, the revolutionaries planned to travel about 2000 miles east to the island of Saint Helena, where Napoleon was held hostage, then they would rescue him from British captivity and put him in charge of the Brazilian revolution.
Historically, this never happened, but what if Napoleon was rescued and became the Brazilian Emperor? This time, he would have a whole continent for himself, and with Spain failing to keep their colonies in check, do you think that Brazil could take the entirety of South America, with the help of Napoleon Bonaparte?
In that case, will there be a war of the 8th coalition against Napoleon, with Europe teaming up as to stop the Brazilian Revolution? I will answer all of these fascinating questions, and even more, in this video, enjoy!
