March brings the biggest daylight gain of the year to the northern hemisphere. We are expecting a lot of swings this March with cold and snow chances, plus storms.
We think the jet stream will be very active this month. You will likely have some nice warm swings in temperature, but in March there is usually a cold front quickly on the way that could spark severe storms. On average the state of Indiana gets two tornadoes in March.
We also typically get 3.2" of snow on average for Indianapolis.
Expect winter and spring to battle it out in the weather.
