I just got out of quarantine in Washington, D.C. and decided to take my mom out for a mother-son day. I’m not familiar with the Chinese restaurants in DC, so we went out exploring. She tried boba for the first time ever, and I took her to get her nails done. We also had a bunch of great chats with locals in Chinese. It’s always fun to see people’s reactions to seeing a white guy speaking fluent Chinese. My mandarin’s pretty good, and I’m working on Cantonese, so I’ll be testing that out next time as well! Filmed on my GoPro Max 360 camera, which was a lot of fun to play around with.
