Hello friends! This episode of #WillItTofu features another highly requested ingredient easily found at most grocery stores. Let's see if split green peafu should be a thing!
Will it tofu? Based on our previous Yellow Split Pea test, the answer should be yes, right? But also, let's find out:
- is green pea tofu difficult or easy to make?
- what kind of texture do we get from greenfu? Soft or firm? Crumbly or bouncy?
- does green peafu taste good?
- is homemade green pea tofu WORTH trying?
I'll answer all these questions and more!
As in all the tofu-making videos in this series, our aim is to create a close alternative to the traditional soy-based tofu. It's *low carb and high protein* and made with the traditional tofu-making method. That is, with pressing coagulated high protein curds *as opposed to* the high carb, lower protein, polenta-like tofu like Burmese Tofu).
