Later, I’ll be decorating and cooking in my cottagecore kitchen, preparing a hearty winter stew from a Scandinavian comfort food book—a perfect winter recipe for from-scratch cooking that brings warmth and comfort.

Serves 6 people
1kg steak cubes
3 tbsp butter
5 cups water
250g onions, chopped
6 bay leaves
6 thyme springs
4 cloves
1tbsp peppercorns, lightly crushed
1 tbsp sea salt
2.5kg floury potatoes
