Video Not Working? Fix It Now

This bike is my good friend Derek’s (Instagram- @Bikeshop_DM) handiwork. He built this bike from a Daytona model that was sitting beside a barn in Manitoba for many years before he found it. He heavily modified the frame so it could have a mono shock and an extended factory swingarm. If you look closely, you will notice that it no longer has the oil tank under the seat as it was designed originally. The oil tank is now located on the tail section where the passenger seat would be. He seamlessly installed it into the solo seat structure, and then built a classy leather covered seat. The centre stand was removed to make space for the slick aftermarket exhaust.

You’ll notice the turn signals are flashing in this video, but that is only because of the frame rate of the camera that picks up the flashing LEDs.

The paint is a flat blue and no decals were used. That is simply Derek’s touch on the paint.

There’s even an article about it here: https://www.bikebound.com/2020/05/28/yamaha-rd400-cafe-racer/
