विपक्षी दलों का समय बदल ही नहीं रहा। बड़ी उम्मीद थी कि लोकसभा चुनाव में विपक्ष की सीटें बढ़ने और भाजपा की सीटें घटने के बाद राजनीतिक दृष्टि और दृश्य दोनों में बड़े बदलाव की उम्मीद थी। पर यहाँ तो उल्टा हो रहा है। देश की राजनीति विपक्ष की आशा की विपरीत दिशा में जा रही है। वक़्फ़ संशोधन विधेयक के पास होने से विपक्षी दलों को २०२४ के चुनावों की हार से भी बड़ा धक्का लगा है । उन्हें समझ में ही नहीं आ रहा कि राजनीति का चक्र उल्टी दिशा में क्यों और कैसे घूम रहा है। यह बदलाव विपक्ष के नेताओं और दलों में भारी मायूसी है। उनसे भी ज़्यादा मायूस विपक्षी दलों के समर्थक हैं। वे अपने नेताओं से निराश हैं।
