Last spring, a white kitten suddenly wandered into the backyard. The kitten had an unusually friendly personality and captured the hearts of our dog-loving family. We named the male kitten SHIRO and welcomed him as a new member of our family. As amateurs, we are always made to laugh at SHIRO's every move. SHIRO has now become the central figure in the family. It's almost been a year since I spent time with SHIRO. The way I think about cats has completely changed.
