Video Not Working? Fix It Now

The "HIDEHIRA TANTO DOJO" in Nagano Prefecture is unveiling the magnificent process of how Japanese swords are made for the first time.

Japanese swords are not just weapons, but works of art with over a thousand years of history, created as part of sacred rituals dedicated to the gods.

The "HIDEHIRA TANTO DOJO" faithfully inherits these traditions while incorporating modern technology to revive their spirit.

The video records the production process by swordsmith Shuhei (real name: Nezu Kei). Starting with a bow ceremony to show respect to the gods, we will show you every step of the intricate process until a sword is completed.

The main part of the video focuses on the process up to the "raw finishing" where the prototype of the sword is completed.

Please watch the detailed process of Japanese sword making and the essence of Japanese sword forging woven by scorching flames as the swordsmith, who has received many honors including the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award, talks about it.

This video clearly explains the core process of making a Japanese sword, and also carefully introduces the philosophy and training that Shuhei pursues as a swordsmith.

✨ Highlights of the video
