This time we went to Echigo-Yuzawa for a night or two of overnight skiing with the Passart Alltrack, to Iwahara and Ishiuchimaruyama, for the first time in a long time in the 2025 ski season!
The first day was at Iwahara ski resort in Yuzawa, Niigata Prefecture.
The slopes were packed with powder due to the cold wave until the day before!
It was a great day for us as a couple to get our fill of the vast skiing terrain.
The best Iwahara felt like we could take the time to ski the super hard giant courses and be happy that we were able to take on the challenge.
The descent down the mountain with a view of the Yuzawa risomans from the mountain was also somewhat magical! It was a very satisfying skiing in Iwahara.
By the way, we stayed at a very popular inn in Tokamachi, “Oku-Echigo Ryokan Ichibankan”!
It was a great inn with very reasonable prices, authentic kaiseki cuisine, and a hot spring!
Although it is a little far from Yuzawa, it is only a 15-minute drive from Joetsu Kokusai's Touma slope!
Next time I visit Joetsu Kokusai, I definitely want to revisit!
