In this video I share some tips to get started learning about flowers.
Seek out flowers nearby - in your neighborhood or in parks. Take pictures and use an app like Google Lens or iNaturalist to discover the name. Make notes and add a personal connection. For example: "The yellow flower in Mike's yard near the fence is a daffodil."
Visit farmers markets. Pick out flowers you like. Ask the grower about the names and any questions you have such as how their grown, how to care for them or when to harvest.
Grow your own flowers. It's fun and easier than you think.
Find flower friends - join an online community like FlowerMore (https://www.ellenfrost.com/flowermore), volunteer at a public garden, become a Master Gardener through a program in your community and go on flower adventures such as trips to arboretums.
