➡️ Well, the people have spoken! "Shake Hands With Beef" was the top-voted track to hear from 1997's "Brown Album" by Primus. As I've progressed through their discography, I thought I was beginning to figure the band out. After hearing this track—and seeing this video—I actually don't think I've figured anything out at all. I discuss Les Claypool's slap bass technique utilized throughout the main riff, his incorporation of triplet-based slap/pop fills, my first impressions of Brain's drumming, the slightly "bluesy" framework around the chord progressions, my thoughts on their stylistic evolution, and much more! 🤝🥩
