Hey everyone, back with a little update on my modular adventures!
Sorry for the downtime, I'm publishing this video a bit later than planned, but here it is! (kind of busy these days)
During the holidays, I took a short break... well, kind of. I was actually busy finishing my album (yep, it’s done—didn’t even get the chance to tell you!). Meanwhile, I spent some time messing around with Noise and Power Electronics, just for fun. But now I’m back and ready to start recording again. No clear direction yet, but that’s part of the fun.
Then, while I was taking things slow, an opportunity popped up—a live sound scoring for an art installation. Can’t share too many details yet, but it’s happening in a huge space, which means one thing: BIG reverb tails. So I’ve been working on a new patch, shifting things around in my case. I pulled out the sequencer (since I don’t need anything danceable) and made space for more modulation and movement.
Patch overview:
🔹 Filter → Reverb → High-pass (cuts below 30Hz) → Compressors
🔹 Drones, textures, random events, sample & hold
🔹 Heavy feedback loops for extra depth
🔹 Sliders for live dynamics & expressiveness
The installation is on February 8, so videos where I was refining this patch will come over the next couple of weeks. I’ll also try to capture some footage—maybe even a vlog? The space looks amazing, so I’ll do my best to share the experience.
The performance will be carried out by me and two other artists from our Bologna Modulare collective. It will consist of three independent sound interpretations, allowing each artist to present their own perspective
Expect some more videos on this patch. Last time, YouTube seemed to push my “Building This Patch” format, so let’s see if people enjoy watching this one evolve too.
