A must have drink in Trinidad, and other Caribbean Islands, especially at Christmastime, and throughout the year. It is best used with black cake, sweetbread, home made bread and ham. Enjoy the flavor, and Happy Holidays.
Ingredients:
1 lb of freshly blended ginger
6-7 cloves
4 1/2 cups of light brown sugar
2 small pieces of cinnamon
dash of Angostura bitters
6-7 cups of hot water
2 Star Anise
Juice of 1 lemon
