I don't know why I took so long to try this. It isn't really that difficult. I wish I had done it sooner. I so wish there were a way to make a loaf that is fully risen and full of big fluffy holes. If you know of a recipe that will do that please let me know.
I really did like the tender texture and full flavor of the loaf I made from the Ranchers Homestead recipe. I let the ladies at my coffee group try these loaves and that one won the contest for sure. Although, the flavor profile of the King Arther loaf was tasty, just very dense. A friend of mine actually asked to take that one home since no one was eating it.
I will keep trying but until I get a loaf the way I want it I will keep trying new recipes. But until I find one I like better, this one is a winner!
