In this cake decorating tutorial, I show you how to make edible lace from scratch and how to use it to make this Edible Lace and Sunflower cake! I love how the flowers and Lace contrast with the dark chocolate ganache I used to cover this Devils food cake. I also used the ganche and oreos as a filling. This is chocolate overload! And I love it;) I hope you enjoy this and let me know if you have any questions!

Edible Lace Recipe=
1/2 C Boiling water
1TBS Tylose powder
1 TBS Powdered Sugar
1 TBS Corn Starch
1/4 tsp Meringue Powder
1 tsp Clear Corn Syrup
Food coloring optional ( I used white otherwise it would be cloudy)

Mix the boiling water and Tylose powder together. It will remain clumpy. Add all the other ingredients and mix. Add the food coloring last. Spread it in the lace mold. Cook at 170` for 10 minutes. Add another layer and cook for 10 minutes again. Prop oven door open and cook for 5 minute intervals until the surface is no longer shiny. Be careful not to over cook or else you may get brittle lace. It can also be left at room temp after the second coat overnight or until dry. Use immediately or store in an airtight container with pieces of parchment in between pieces.
