Please READ THE FAQ below before asking questions, thank you!

Behringer's TD-3 is a 2020 clone of Roland's famous TB-303 "Bass Line" monophonic synthesizer from 1982. In this video, I focus on how well the TD-3 interacts with an external DAW/Sequencer.

Before you ask, here is a summary of the comment section's most asked questions:

1. The TD-3's knobs do not send nor receive MIDI data (just like the original). They are purely analogue. You can neither record knob movements (filter etc.) via MIDI to the DAW nor play them back. The successor TD-3-MO allows contolling the filter via MIDI.

2. MIDI via USB is more functional than via the DIN port. It seems accents and slides work fine via USB, but cannot be reproduced when using the DIN port.

3. The USB port is for MIDI data only, it does not work as an audio interface, i.e. you cannot record audio via the USB port.

4. If sending/receiving of MIDI does not work, check that the MIDI channels match. You can cross-check the settings by connecting the TD-3 to Behringer's Synthtribe software.
