In late October I spent a few days staying in the pretty village of Llanberis, nestled beneath the imposing slopes of Yr Wyddfa, the tallest mountain in Wales, on the shore of Llyn Padarn. Despite storms and clouds I ventured out for 3 nights of astrophotography in a landscape that was completely new to me.
Part 1 covers two nights around Llanberis, under the thundering waters of Ceunant Mawr and in the grounds of Dolbadarn Castle. Whilst cloud was never far away, they were still very much enjoyable and productive nights under at least a few stars!

I use this channel to share my experiences of being out in the landscape at night photographing the night sky. I want to inspire others to give it a go, and also provide a route for those who can't get out to enjoy some of the experience.
