Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Hi friends and welcome back to my studio! We are here for Oil Painting Tutorial #6 “Calming Reflections” - recorded on Monday, July 29, 2024. I think it’s a simple scene for any beginner to intermediate artist. We will work on mountains and their reflections with a wet on wet oil technique.

Today, I am coming to you from a new location with a different light setup. I am thinking also about getting a mic that may help with the volume but I want one that is not bluetooth, do you know of a good one? Let me know, please. Either way, I really hope you like this video. Consider painting it along with me, then sending me an email with your final painting kaylee@kayleerakowski.com.

Did you know I film and edit all my videos? I have been working really hard to get you content you will enjoy and I really appreciate all of you for following along with me in my painting journey. Please check out my website kayleerakowski.com to find other ways to support me.

We can also arrange private zoom lessons. Visit my website to contact me, my official schedule is not yet out, but it will be soon. http://www.kayleerakowski.com/

Paint List:
Titanium White
Bright Red
Alizarin Crimson
Phthalo Green
Prussian Blue
Grey Mix – Crimson and Sap Green equal parts

I am painting on a double primed stretched canvas. I encourage you to use a canvas, as the results will be most comparable. I also use the Bob Ross paints. I really like them and have not used anything different since day one, with no complaints.

If you paint along send me your painting.

Please consider donating to my paypal to help me purchase supplies. I am still down a lot of paints right now so I would be so grateful if you could chip in and help me grab a few more tubes. Each 200ml tube of paint costs me roughly $16 and it can last me up to three months depending on the color. Titanium white goes the fastest and I usually purchase two at a time.

I also use the Bob Ross brushes, they work for me and I never felt the need to try anything else. When it works it works. This is how I do it, please watch and make adjustments for your comfort and painting styles.

Smile and be Happy Friends.
