During in the covid-19 pandemic, it wasn't possible to meet in groups or even in the worst periods, meet at all. The show had to go on so during this time our Peak Railway Association- Derwent Branch that meet in Darley Dale, had online meetings.
One such online talk was by the late Glynn Waite who ran the Rowsley Association. He presented his slide show to the group. This online meeting was able to be recorded by Peak Rail and lms carriage association volunteer, Dave Winter.
With permission from Glynn's widow, Angela, we're able to present to you Glynn's excellant slide show which is now preserved forever with Glynn himself presenting the show.
The talk is a slideshow showing the line through archive photos from Matlock to Buxton. Glynn who worked on the Peak Line during in the days of steam is able to offer us his own personal insight and we are indebted to him for collecting, researching and presenting his photographs!
The Rowsley Association archive is now held by the Peak Railway Association in our archive.
