Pecan Pie Bars
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 stick butter, softened
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
3 large eggs
3/4 cup light corn syrup
3/4 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 3/4 cups chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups pecan pieces
Preheat your oven to 350°. Grease a 9“ x 13“ baking dish.
Blend together the flour, butter, and brown sugar in a bowl until crumbly. Press this into your prepared baking dish. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes.
While the crust is baking, whisk together in a large bowl the eggs, corn syrup, white sugar, 2 Tablespoons of melted butter, and the vanilla. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. As soon as the crust comes out of the oven, pour this mixture evenly over the crust and return it to the oven. Bake another 25 to 30 minutes. Cool completely in the pan before cutting.
