I left home at dawn.

flickering traffic lights,
and the cold, blue air that stung my skin surrounded me.
Was the weight of dusk this great?
I had to overcome it, I had to endure it.
I shouted to myself countless times.
I walked further and further into the darkness.
The world was still cold and empty.
