As a Filipino chef, I can’t wait to share one of my favorite recipes: Kare-Kare. It’s a dish that many Filipinos love and often request, so let’s make one! This rich and flavorful stew is perfect for impressing your loved ones and showcasing the unique tastes of Filipino cuisine.
Ingredients:
1 ½ kg. Mix of beef hock, skin, mask & tail, boiled
1 kg. Oxtripe
1 cup Water
½ cup Annatto seeds
Oil, for sauteing
1 cup White onion, minced
5 cloves Garlic, minced
1 cup Glutinous rice, toasted and grind
2 cups Peanuts, roasted and grind
8 cups Beef stock
(Annatto water)
Salt & fish sauce, to taste
1 pc. Banana blossom, sliced
3 pcs. Eggplant, sliced
1 bunch String beans, sliced
2 bunch Pechay
Serve with bagoong
