EP 55: How many airplanes does a guy need?
For some reason, I have been on a crazy acquisition spree lately, buying kits, plans, engines and materials to build even more airplanes. I mean things that I had never thought of building. It started a few months ago with the need to purchase a fiberglass fuselage from my friend Vic at Vicrc.com. An F6F Hellcat created from a Jerry Bates design… I’m already sitting on some fuse projects, like a Bates Sea Fury, and 2 Bearcats, as well as a Spitfire made from Brian Taylor plans. Then there is the Sarpolus plans. Mark made a Mig 3 years ago and we flew it last month. Its a fun Sport Scale plan, with a foam wing. Flew like a champ. Then there is the Hurricane from the same designer…. I love my warbirds. Anyway, I spent some time going through my not finished, not started models that are stacked throughout the shop and wow… big number… we have a lot of work to do… Let’s get building!!!!
