As amazing as solo travel and travelling can be, I don't think it's quite all that it's made out to be. In my travel vlogs, you will probably see glorious landscapes, beautiful cities and a smile on my face; but unfortunately you often don't see what goes on behind the few seconds that I choose for you to see.
While I've been to some truly incredible places in 2024, and made some very special memories, I don't think it is all quite as magnificent as it is sold to be on social media or YouTube. Travel can be incredible, don't get me wrong... But it can also be very stressful, monotonous, expensive, lonely and tiring.
As a travel blogger and content creator, this certainly adds a lot of pressure and stress to travelling which can make it quite difficult to switch off and 'enjoy' travel at times. Having said that, I've been able to go to some insane place this year alone: Hallstatt, Auschwitz, Wolf's Rose, Wieliczka Salt Mines, Wroclaw, Salzburg, Vienna, Ljubljana, Lake Bled, the list goes on!
I hope you enjoy this story that I've told of all the adventures I've been on over the past year, while weaving in a few different themes which hopefully shed light on travel with a bit more honesty; showing how great it can be, but also tiring, draining, stressful and at times overrated.
