As I got in to carving i initially had quite a problem with keeping my knives properly honed. They dulled quickly. Then as i researched I found myself falling down a rabbit hole of conflicting information overload. There are as many opinions on stropping as there are knives available to a woodcarver, and probably a few hundred more.
With that said, understand that i am by no means an expert. The tips and techniques shown here are simply what helped me. Are they the definitive truth in the bible of woodcarving? Absolutely not. Did they help me to keep my tools in carving condition and enable me to enjoy my hobby? Absolutely yes!!
