I am living a dual-location life between my parents' old traditional house and my current residence. Once a week, I engage in gardening in the countryside. Today, I made fertilizer using coffee grounds. However, it's just a matter of mixing the coffee grounds, which I drink every day, with fallen leaves and grass. It seems that coffee grounds contain substances that inhibit plant growth, so it is not recommended to directly spread them on flower beds or fields.

Coffee grounds can also be used as a deodorizer for shoe boxes or refrigerators, so it would be a waste to throw them away.
As for weed control, there are various videos on YouTube that I refer to. For general gardening, I watch channels like "Kamen Kun" Gardening Channel, and for natural cultivation, I watch "The Small Nature of the Field" channel.
There's always a lot of work to do in the garden, and I always seem to be behind schedule. But even if things don't go as planned, it's still enjoyable, and most importantly, I feel grateful to be able to spend time in the greenery.
I propagated the Japanese hydrangea from my own tree at home and planted it in this garden, but it is still small and hasn't bloomed this year. I'm looking forward to next year.
This is a Japanese traditional house built about 85 to 90 years ago. Currently, the house is unoccupied, so I visit it once a week to clean the house and mow the grass in the garden. I have a lot of housework to do, but I enjoy it.
