RECIPE #1
🔹Ingredients🔹
Dough:
✔Milk (warm) - 200 ml.
✔Yeast - 7 g of dry or 20 g of fresh.
✔Sugar - 50 g.
✔Egg - 1 pc.
✔Salt - 1/3 tsp.
✔Vanilla sugar/vanilla - to taste.
✔Odorless vegetable oil (I use sunflower oil) - 100 ml.
✔Wheat flour - 450-480 g.
Filling:
✔Condensed milk - 250 g (can be replaced with thick jam).
Topping (streusel crumb):
✔Flour - 80 g.
✔Butter - 40 g.
✔Sugar - 30 g.
✔For brushing the buns - 1 egg or 1 egg yolk + 1 tablespoon of milk.
👉 I use a baking pan with a diameter of 25 cm.
🕒 Bake at 180 °C for about 25 minutes. The exact baking time depends on your oven's characteristics.

Dough:
✔Milk - 200 ml.
✔Yeast - 6 g of dry or 18 g of fresh.
✔Sugar - 30 g.
✔Salt - 1/3 tsp.
✔Vanilla sugar - if desired.
✔Egg - 1 pc.
✔Butter (for the dough) - 60 g.
✔Flour - 350-400 g.
Filling:
✔Poppy seeds - 100 g.
✔Sugar - 60 g.
✔Butter for brushing the dough - 40 g.
✔You can make any cream; I used 80 g of whipped cream with 30 g of powdered sugar.
🕒 Bake at 180 °C for about 25-30 minutes. The exact baking time depends on your oven's characteristics.
❗Notes❗
✅I always recommend adding flour to the dough in parts. Depending on the size of the egg and how accurately you measure the ingredients, you may need a bit more or less flour. The dough should be soft.
✅You can prepare the poppy seeds in any way that is customary for you. I simply pour boiling water over it and then drain the water through a fine sieve, drying the poppy seeds slightly in warm air. You can also drain the water using cheesecloth.
✅With the specified amount of sugar, the buns turn out not too sweet. If you prefer them sweeter, add more sugar to the dough and the filling.
✅Before baking, I do not brush the buns with anything, as I will cover them with cream afterward. If you don’t want to make cream, you can brush the buns with egg/egg yolk before baking.
✅The cream for the buns can be any, for example, sour cream, custard, or cream cheese-based. I just whipped a little cream with powdered sugar. You can also drizzle the buns with condensed milk or melted chocolate.
