In response to viewer requests, I'm following up on previous videos in which I've discussed not so much poor recording, or poor mastering, but problems with the actual manufacture of the physical media itself: vinyl record pressing problems: warps, non-fill, pops, ticks and clicks, skips, sticks and jumps.
Some record pressing plants are undoubtedly worse than others. In this video I discuss and explain the various types of manufacturing flaws, what to look for, and what to listen for, and perhaps most importantly I identify those record pressing plants that really must do better!
