Pyrography tutorial that shows pyrography shading techniques to create 3D globes and a cluster of grapes. Plus I will show you how to add color using colored pencils. This is a great tutorial for all beginner artist in any medium as it covers how light interacts on a globe or round surface. In fact, the first part of the tutorial will examine how 3 different light scenarios change the shadows on a globe. Then we will use that information to create the cluster of grapes by examining the reference photo to determine the light situation and then coloring in the grape accordingly.
After the grapes are burned in, I will explain the techniques to create the rope and the background. Lastly I will share with you the colored pencils I used to color the artwork and how I blended it.
Ryn Shell, a classically trained artist with many years of experience, has been helping me with understand color theory. I've learned a lot from her and highly recommend her channel. Here's a link to her channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtoNE15PLHPX7JNmF5oqygg
This video was created for Silvia, one of my website subscribers, who requested a tutorial explaining light and shadows in detail. Silvia, I hope the video is helpful.
If you are unfamiliar with my terminology, I have a video that explains them: https://youtu.be/PI_U7dXHwRo
The video shows how I use the shader pen tip and demonstrates the different type of burn strokes I create with it.
