This adventure took place in August 2013. I flew with a friend to the land where our countrymen were invited by the tsar long ago and, 30 years later, were taken away forcibly. The region, associated with vast spaces, immense taiga, and biting frost, greeted us with heat and mosquitoes. It's a tale of the colossal Lake Baikal, of Buryatia, shamans, spirits, and sacred places. Over the course of a month, we covered almost 1500 kilometers on bicycles. A visit to the Polish village of Wierszynia, encounters with people, and the stories we heard made this journey vibrant.
