Hello, this is Chef Jeon, sharing menopause-friendly recipes.

Today, I’ve prepared a seafood rice recipe that supports gut health.

Kombu and hijiki are rich in dietary fiber,
and alginic acid slows down carbohydrate absorption in the stomach,
helping to prevent rapid spikes in blood sugar levels.

It also helps lower cholesterol levels and detoxify the body.

✅ Seafood Rice: Kombu & Hijiki Rice

《Ingredients》
1 pack of fresh hijiki, 5 pieces of cut kombu,
1 pack of cockles (optional), pre-soaked rice

《Recipe》
1. Soak the cut kombu in water for at least 30 minutes.
2. Wash the fresh hijiki thoroughly and set it aside.
3. Soak the rice in water for at least 30 minutes.
4. Blend the soaked kombu with its soaking water until smooth.
5. Mix the blended kombu evenly with the soaked rice.
6. Chop the hijiki and place it on top of the rice.
7. Cook on low heat for 15 minutes, then turn off the heat and let it steam for another 15 minutes.
8. Place the cockles in an empty pot without water and cook over medium heat until they open.
9. Once the cockles open, remove the meat from the shells.
9. Serve the cockles on top of the kombu-hijiki rice and mix with Chef Jeon’s special sauce for a delicious meal!


✅ Chef Jeon’s Special Sauce

1T red pepper powder, 1T minced garlic, 3T soy sauce,
1T fish sauce, 1T plum syrup, 1T sesame oil, generous amount of sesame seeds
