❤️ Yavorivsky pie is an ancient, very famous pastry of western Ukraine. There are many recipes for both dough and filling. Each housewife focuses on those products that she had at hand at the time. But something remains unchanged. It is mainly a rectangular cake made of yeast dough with a filling of potatoes and buckwheat. There should be little dough, and a lot of filling. I offer my favorite version of this pie. According to this recipe, the cake turns out perfectly and tastes great.

Form 18*28 cm
PRODUCTS:

Dough:
100 ml of water
25 ml of milk
15 g of sugar
12-13 g of Dukhmyan Khata yeast
1 egg
280 g of flour
5 g of salt
35 ml of oil

Filling:
150 g of buckwheat groats
150 ml of water
300 g of onion
80 ml of oil
100 g lard
1 kg of peeled potatoes
50 g of grated onion
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground black pepper

In addition, for lubrication:
3 tbsp. milk
The skin from the charcoal is not lard or a piece of butter
